Head of Transport & Logistic Services

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to head our Transport and Logistic Services function within a dynamic Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for shaping logistics performance across multiple space‑related business lines, driving innovation, and ensuring end‑to‑end delivery excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage physical logistics activities from warehouse receipt to final delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness and cost efficiency.
• Define, monitor and improve KPIs such as on‑time, on‑cost and on‑quality.
• Ensure compliance with Airbus Crisa logistics processes, rules and policies.
• Lead issue‑resolution processes, including rapid alerts and participation in SQCDP routines.
• Propose and implement short‑term improvement initiatives and share best practices across the logistics network.
• Optimize end‑to‑end logistics solutions and surface utilisation.
• Oversee logistics provider contracts, subcontractor activities, budget adherence and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Handle scope change requests, work specifications, ad‑hoc service requests and claims.
• Conduct technical negotiations on unit prices, volumes and forecasts.
• Develop training and ways of working to support contract management and operational alignment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale logistics or transport functions, preferably in aerospace or high‑tech environments.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes and KPI‑driven performance management.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to coordinate service providers, procurement, engineering and operations teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and implement cost‑effective solutions.
• Solid negotiation experience with logistics service providers.
