Host/Hostess – Full‑time Guest Service Position

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Host/Hostess to join the front‑of‑house team at W Barcelona. In this full‑time position you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience throughout their dining visit.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size and escort them to a clean, available table.
• Pull out chairs, place menus, napkins, silverware and ensure each setting meets the hotel’s standards.
• Arrange tables and chairs for groups with special needs and keep the dining area tidy using clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Monitor menu condition, replenish as needed and maintain the overall cleanliness of work areas.
• Observe dining room safety, service flow and guest wellbeing, reporting any incidents to the manager.
• Adhere to company, safety and security policies, maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and support team members to achieve common goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Excellent communication skills, clear and professional language.
• Positive attitude, teamwork orientation and willingness to follow training and safety procedures.
