Incident Response Lead

About the role

RingCentral, a global provider of business communications, is looking for an Incident Response Lead in Valencia. The role protects the organisation, its customers and its services by identifying, assessing, containing, investigating, communicating and resolving cybersecurity incidents in a timely, disciplined and evidence-based way.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major security incidents with clear authority, from declaration to resolution
• Ensure consistent identification and declaration of incidents, and accurate assessment of scope, attacker behaviour and technical impact
• Contain active threats, eradicate root causes and restore production services
• Report clearly to executives, governance teams and cross-functional partners
• Facilitate root cause analyses and ensure corrective actions are completed and verified

Required profile

• Significant experience in cybersecurity, incident response, security operations, digital forensics or threat detection
• Experience leading complex incidents across technical and business teams, and communicating with senior leadership
• Experience with containment, eradication, recovery, impact assessment, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
• Ability to join an on-call or major-incident escalation arrangement
• Experience with customer data or personal data incidents, and with writing playbooks, severity models, reporting standards and tabletop exercises
• Strong written and spoken English

Required skills

• Practical experience with cloud platforms, containers, enterprise identity systems, networks or customer-facing applications
• A plus: familiarity with NIST, ISO/IEC 27035, SANS, MITRE ATT&CK or similar frameworks
• Certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, CISSP or CISM are a plus
