Industrial System Engineer - Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

Airbus Operations in Getafe is seeking an Industrial System Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will work on designing and modelling industrial systems, creating digital twins and simulation models to improve the performance of aerospace assembly lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead industrial system design and modelling projects from concept to deployment, optimizing flows and plant footprint.
• Develop and manage line‑flow simulations and digital twins using 3DExperience to anticipate and optimise assembly line behaviour.
• Analyse current and future manufacturing lines with time‑value calculations, line balancing and value‑stream analysis.
• Drive machine‑connectivity strategy, collaborating with maintenance and operations to improve machine availability.
• Support data‑analytics projects, handling data for predictive decision‑making and early breakdown warnings.

Required profile

• University degree in Industrial, Aeronautical or related engineering.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in complex, automated or aerospace environments.
• Negotiation‑level English; additional European language is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3DExperience for layouts, line simulation and logistics analysis.
• Knowledge of AnyLogic software (nice to have).
• Experience with digital twin deployment.
• Understanding of machine connectivity/IoT concepts.
• Data analytics and data‑management skills.
