Internal HSE / SHEQ Auditor – EU & UK

About the role

We are seeking an Internal HSE / SHEQ Auditor to plan, execute and report audits across our European and UK operations. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk‑based audit plans for EU and UK sites.
• Conduct HSE/SHEQ audits in line with internal methodologies and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Perform site inspections, interviews and document reviews to assess management system effectiveness.
• Identify non‑conformities, evaluate risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of group HSE and SHEQ policies.
• Prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings to senior management.
• Track implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Build strong relationships with site management and collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE/SHEQ auditing or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification.
• Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., IOSH, IEMA, IRCA) preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus.

Required skills

• Auditing against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Risk‑based audit planning and execution.
• Strong knowledge of EU and UK HSE regulatory requirements.
