Investment Accounting & Reporting Associate Director – Alternative Investments

About the role

We are looking for an Investment Accounting & Reporting Associate Director to join our Alternative Investment team in Barcelona. The role will focus on operational tasks related to alternative investment asset classes and will have a direct impact on our internal clients through accurate accounting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end procedures for various alternative investment asset classes.
• Prepare local and international statutory and quarterly IFRS financial statements.
• Ensure quality of variance analysis supporting group IFRS reporting.
• Develop analytic dashboards and provide commentary for internal clients.
• Resolve operational issues from other business functions and advise on procedures.
• Enhance data flow and accuracy within fund operations, including automation of monthly deliverables.
• Collaborate with technology experts and apply AI tools in daily tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in investment accounting, preferably with alternative investment products.
• Strong understanding of finance, accounting, operations and international IFRS standards.
• Familiarity with alternative investment accounting and related regulatory requirements.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
