About the role
We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our EMEA IT Support team in Barcelona, focusing on the German market. The role provides remote IT assistance to users across EMEA, handling incidents, requests and workplace IT needs. You will also manage hardware lifecycle, onboarding, and collaborate with global IT teams.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote IT support to internal colleagues across EMEA, primarily German‑speaking users.
- Handle incidents and service requests related to hardware, software and internal infrastructure.
- Install, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals following global standards.
- Support user onboarding and off‑boarding, including equipment preparation and basic IT guidance.
- Work closely with Global IT teams and local stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required.
- Monitor and support IT security measures, including software and antivirus updates.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, procedures and knowledge‑base articles.
- Support asset management, inventory tracking and hardware lifecycle planning.
- Act as a reliable IT contact for local management and contribute to reporting activities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in an IT Support or Service Desk role within a corporate environment.
- Native‑level German language skills and good English communication.
- Structured, organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Customer‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable working as part of a global IT organisation across time zones.
Required skills
- Windows operating system.
- Microsoft 365 suite.
- Active Directory.
- ITSM/ticketing tools (ServiceNow preferred).
- PC hardware knowledge.
- Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP).
- Remote support tools.
