IT Support Engineer

About the role

DayOne is seeking a proactive IT Support Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of its IT systems in Madrid. You will provide first‑ and second‑level support to both on‑site and remote users, maintain infrastructure reliability, and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Respond promptly to service‑desk tickets and resolve incidents efficiently.
• Support users across multiple locations, including branch offices.
• Maintain and update the IT inventory of hardware, software, and assets.
• Log, track, and close support tickets with accurate documentation.
• Create and maintain knowledge‑base articles, case studies, and SOPs.
• Perform regular system health checks, equipment inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, keeping antivirus and security software up to date.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and IT processes.
• Participate in on‑call support as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher qualification in Computer Science, IT, Computer/Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a Windows‑based support or help‑desk environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused attitude.
