IT Support Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

As the On‑Site Infrastructure Engineer for BIKE24’s Spanish warehouse, you will be the technical backbone that keeps daily logistics running smoothly. Working on‑site at least three days a week, you will connect the warehouse floor to the central IT team in Dresden, ensuring a reliable, secure and scalable IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Be the primary IT point of contact for all warehouse staff, providing on‑site support and increasing presence during incidents.
• Maintain stable network connectivity and IT systems for day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
• Proactively monitor infrastructure health, resolve issues before they impact operations, and manage hardware provisioning, setup and lifecycle.
• Act as the liaison between the Barcelona warehouse and BIKE24’s central IT organisation, collaborating daily with the Dresden team.
• Escalate, coordinate and communicate infrastructure incidents to ensure fast resolution and transparent status updates.
• Develop, implement and operate on‑premises infrastructure solutions, including modular server‑based systems and data management platforms.
• Identify and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities, advise other teams, and recommend continuous improvements.

Required profile

• Professional experience in IT systems administration, backed by a degree in Computer Science or a comparable IT qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux client and server administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible.
• Solid understanding of on‑premises security solutions.
