IT Support / Sysadmin & Cybersecurity Intern

About the role

The IT Support / Sysadmin & Cybersecurity Intern will assist the IT team in daily operations, helping employees resolve technical issues and supporting the security posture of a fast‑growing SaaS company. This position offers hands‑on experience with device management, ticket handling, and basic system hardening.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, classify, and resolve internal IT support tickets through Jira, maintaining clear communication and documentation.
• Provide first‑line technical assistance for laptops, monitors, peripherals, operating systems, applications, internet connectivity, VPN, and access permissions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal security events, triaging phishing reports and escalating confirmed threats.
• Support endpoint and server hardening by configuring OS‑level security settings for Windows and macOS and applying CIS Benchmark baselines.
• Assist with the preparation, configuration, and maintenance of employee devices and internal IT servers.

Required profile

• Current university student with an active internship agreement (convenio de prácticas).
• Interest in gaining practical experience in IT support, system administration, and cybersecurity within a SaaS environment.

Required skills

• Jira ticketing system.
• Windows and macOS operating systems.
• VPN configuration and basic networking.
