IT Systems Engineer – Hybrid Infrastructure & Server Administration

About the role

The IT Systems Engineer will join Canyon’s Tech Hub in Barcelona, supporting a hybrid IT environment that powers the company’s innovative bike designs. You will ensure the reliability, security and evolution of server, network and cloud services while acting as the go‑to expert for complex technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the hybrid infrastructure, including Windows Server landscape and on‑premise networking.
• Administer a hybrid Exchange environment and integrate it with Microsoft 365.
• Implement and monitor cloud backup solutions and protect file‑server data.
• Provide 2nd‑level support for internal users, troubleshooting advanced infrastructure problems.
• Manage specialised systems such as document management, manufacturing execution and warehouse management, liaising with business units and external software partners.
• Coordinate vendors and service providers during maintenance, updates and system adjustments.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date system documentation and operating manuals.

Required profile

• Degree in (Business) Informatics or equivalent vocational training with relevant experience.
• Proven experience administering Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory and Exchange, preferably in a hybrid setup.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and backup technologies (on‑premise and cloud).
• Ability to grasp complex software logic and work with DMS, MES or WMS solutions.
• Structured work style and strong problem‑solving skills.
