About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Java Tech Lead to join a cross‑functional team that modernises a suite of cloud‑based services for a Fortune 100 industrial manufacturer. The role is fully remote from Spain and involves guiding the design, development and delivery of scalable APIs, event‑driven services and analytics pipelines.

Key responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers in building and maintaining micro‑service based, event‑driven applications.
Design, develop and document robust RESTful APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.
Architect solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as API Gateway, Fargate, Lambda, S3 and CloudWatch.
Integrate messaging and streaming technologies (Kinesis, SQS, SNS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
Ensure high‑quality code through CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GoCD) and automated testing.
Provide on‑call production support and maintain a 6‑hour overlap with US Central Time.

Required profile

8+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in Java.
Strong background in telematics platforms or similar domain.
Proven technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and coordinating development activities.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
