Jefe/a de Cocina – Royal Level

About the role

The Royal Level resort of Barceló Playa Blanca is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead its kitchen operations. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality buffet and à la carte experiences while upholding the brand’s standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, direct and coordinate the work of kitchen staff.
• Supervise cleaning, maintenance of utensils and proper use of kitchen equipment.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Control costs, stock, orders and purchases.
• Design all‑inclusive and à la carte menus.
• Oversee daily kitchen operational processes.
• Ensure buffet quality and presentation meet company standards.
• Maintain hygiene and food‑handling regulations.
• Adopt new kitchen technologies.

Required profile

• Higher‑level culinary training (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Dirección de Cocina).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Head Chef.
• High proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of Spanish and international cuisine is valued.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (user level).
