Jefe/a de Partida – Playa Blanca

About the role

We are looking for a Jefe/a de Partida to lead the kitchen station at Barceló Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. The role involves planning, preparing and supervising the daily culinary production while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the preparation of the station, including raw materials and utensils, and allocate tasks efficiently.
• Develop and supervise recipes according to menu cycles and food‑handling best practices.
• Direct and supervise assistants and cooks in the preparation of dishes for the station.
• Oversee cleaning, preservation and replenishment of food items.
• Maintain hygienic‑sanitary records and controls for the station.
• Assist with receiving, storage and internal stock replenishment following established procedures.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training in Kitchen Management or Hospitality, or a degree in Tourism with HACCP training.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar kitchen‑station leadership role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Good taste and olfactory memory, creativity and manual dexterity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork orientation and problem‑solving ability.

Required skills

• HACCP / food safety knowledge.
• Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, machinery and utensils.
