About the role

We are looking for a Reception Manager to lead the front‑desk operations at our Barceló hotel in La Nucía. The role combines planning, supervision and direct guest interaction to ensure smooth accommodation processes and high guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate and supervise the work of all sections reporting to the reception area.
• Oversee daily room reservation planning (short, medium and long term), occupancy reports, statistics, no‑show lists and VIP client handling.
• Verify group rooming lists, allocate rooms and manage changes.
• Register and assign rooms personally to guests when required.
• Handle guest complaints directly and inform the relevant departments.
• Review and sign the incident log.
• Ensure smooth inter‑departmental communication.
• convene staff meetings and create work schedules, attendance records, hiring and termination documentation.
• Propose sanctions, promotions and participate in staff selection for the department.
• Suggest operational improvements to management and collaborate on room‑rate policies.

Required profile

• Degree in Tourism, Business Administration or a related field; or a medium‑level vocational qualification in Hospitality and Tourism.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar reception or front‑office management role.
• High level of English; additional languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of office software and reservation systems is valued.
• Strong communication, customer orientation, teamwork, planning, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
