Jefe/a de Sector – Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Barceló Hotel Group is seeking a proactive Sector Manager to oversee the food and beverage operations in its Málaga property. You will lead a team of waitstaff, ensure service quality, and maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and intervene in the delivery of food and beverage services across restaurants and bars.
• Plan shifts, manage resources and control stock levels.
• Organise table assignments for waiters and monitor their performance.
• Correct staff actions, facilitate problem‑solving and ensure a clean, well‑presented work area.
• Oversee hygiene standards, staff appearance and sector cleanliness.
• Control mise en place and take customer orders.
• Report any quality or presentation issues to the maître d’.

Required profile

• Vocational training (medium or higher level).
• At least 1 year of experience as a waiter, preferably in a similar supervisory role.
• High level of English; additional language (French or German) is a plus.
• Strong organisational abilities, problem‑resolution skills and team‑management capability.
