Junior AML Officer

About the role

As a Junior AML Officer you will join CSC's local Compliance team in Madrid, working in a collaborative, international environment. Reporting to the AML Manager and Senior AML Manager, you will support the delivery of anti‑money‑laundering, know‑your‑customer and client due‑diligence services for the firm’s clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support AML/KYC compliance activities and client due‑diligence processes.
• Prepare and maintain AML documentation, including risk assessments, procedure manuals and compliance agreements.
• Review and analyse client documentation such as identification, source of wealth, source of funds and transaction traceability.
• Perform client background checks, including sanctions, adverse media and integrity screenings.
• Identify compliance risks, escalate issues when required and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and support internal systems and reporting processes.
• Manage communication with clients, intermediaries and legal representatives throughout the due‑diligence process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Compliance or a related field.
• Initial experience, internship experience or a strong interest in AML, KYC, compliance, legal or financial services.
• Basic understanding of compliance principles, regulatory requirements and risk‑management concepts.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability and willingness to review and understand legal and corporate documentation.
• Native or proficient Spanish and advanced English (C1 level).

What we offer

• Hybrid working arrangement after successful completion of the probation period.
• Full‑time permanent contract (40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday).
• Salary range €24,000 – €30,000 gross per year, determined by skills, experience and role scope.
