Junior Armament Systems & Weapon Integration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Armament Systems & Weapon Integration Engineer to join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid. The role will support the end‑to‑end development and integration of armament and weapon/store systems on aerial platforms, ensuring performance, safety and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of armament systems from concept through retirement, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Perform trade‑off and performance analyses, validate system architectures and optimise solutions.
• Define architectures for Armament Control, Stores Management and Weapon Bay/Carriage systems in collaboration with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents, conduct impact analyses and lead technical integration of weapons and stores.
• Prepare and assess technical and safety documentation, and support testing, qualification and certification activities.
• Act as primary technical contact for suppliers, ensuring alignment with system requirements.

Required profile

• Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• 0‑5 years of experience in aircraft systems integration.
• Advanced written and spoken English and Spanish.
• High adaptability and ability to work in a networking mode.
