Junior DevOps / Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join Gilytics’ remote‑first team. You will work closely with our System Engineer to keep the Pathfinder platform’s AWS environment reliable and secure, while gaining hands‑on experience with cloud operations and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Support configuration, deployment and scaling of AWS cloud resources.
• Monitor logs, alerts and vulnerability reports, escalating incidents as needed.
• Assist in infrastructure testing, KPI tracking and reporting.
• Maintain runbooks and act as a backup for critical incidents.
• Contribute to continuous‑integration/continuous‑delivery pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Coursework or practical experience in system administration and Linux.
• Motivation to learn AWS, CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.

Required skills

• AWS cloud services.

• Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Basic cybersecurity awareness.
