Junior Early Lifecycle Specialist (French)

About the role

Join SumUp’s fast‑growing team in Barcelona as a Junior Early Lifecycle Specialist, supporting French‑speaking merchants during their first steps with our payment solutions. You will act as the first point of contact, guiding new customers through onboarding, activation, and early product adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Assist new merchants with setup and activation of SumUp hardware and software (Card Readers, POS Lite/Plus/Pro, Kiosk).
• Conduct training sessions and help merchants achieve their first transaction goals.
• Monitor merchant activity, reach out to inactive users, and provide proactive support.
• Collaborate with sales teams to ensure smooth handovers and consistent onboarding experiences.
• Respond to onboarding inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and escalate complex cases when needed.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English (C1/C2 level).
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help customers.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, start‑up environment.
• Willingness to work onsite at the Barcelona headquarters.
