Junior Legal Counsel - Litigation

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Legal Counsel – Litigation to join the Legal Department of Insud Pharma in Madrid. The role supports commercial litigation, pre‑litigation risk management and provides legal assistance to clinical trials and strategic projects within a multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review procedural documents for civil, commercial, criminal and administrative proceedings.
• Manage litigation matters independently or together with external counsel, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Support case strategy, evidence analysis and maintain consistency of legal arguments across jurisdictions.
• Identify legal risks, propose mitigation strategies and act as liaison between internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Provide legal support to Clinical Trials and R&D teams, including drafting and negotiating contracts with CROs, vendors, hospitals and strategic partners.
• Monitor ESG/EHS regulatory compliance and contribute to related risk assessments.
• Participate in continuous improvement of litigation processes, templates and internal policies.
• Engage in legal‑tech and digital transformation initiatives, leveraging AI tools and data‑driven approaches.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent).
• 1–3 years of litigation experience, either in a law firm or in‑house.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Procedural drafting for civil, commercial, criminal and administrative law.
• Litigation case management and coordination with external counsel.
• Contract drafting and negotiation with CROs, vendors and healthcare partners.
• Knowledge of ESG/EHS regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with legal‑tech tools and AI‑assisted legal processes.
