Junior Operations Engineer – Supply Chain

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Operations Engineer to join our Supply Chain team. The role blends engineering fundamentals with data‑driven decision‑making to improve supplier performance, inventory management, production planning, cost analysis and distribution processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain performance using data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain cost models for components and products, supporting design, make‑or‑buy and localization decisions.
• Assist procurement and new‑supplier activities.
• Contribute to Value Analysis and Value Engineering projects to uncover cost‑saving opportunities.
• Evaluate production costs across sites and suppliers, performing scenario analyses.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives for transportation, warehousing and inventory management.
• Create models and simulations to optimise production planning, inventory levels and demand forecasting.
• Support digital transformation projects such as ERP enhancements and process automation.
• Maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor supply chain performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in supply chain, controlling, operations or manufacturing.
• Automotive industry experience is a plus.
• Fluent English; additional language is a plus.
• Residence near Barcelona and own vehicle for office access.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (preferred).
