Junior PLC Programmer

About the role

IT8 Software is seeking a Junior PLC Programmer to join its global engineering team. The role involves installing and programming automated and robotized welding or assembly lines for car manufacturing, with frequent international travel, mainly to the US and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC programs according to project requirements.
• Load programs onto PLCs onsite and assist with installation and commissioning.
• Test, debug, and maintain PLC programs to ensure proper functionality.
• Collaborate with robot programmers, engineers, and technicians on automation solutions.
• Prepare documentation, training manuals, and provide technical support.
• Lead a team of programmers as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Methodical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and intermediate English proficiency.

• EtherNet/IP industrial communication protocol.
