Junior Privacy Counsel

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Junior Privacy Counsel to join its Global Data Protection Team in the Legal, Governance and Assurance unit. The role sits in the group's global data protection office, based at the Glovo office in Barcelona, and supports the team that protects and enables the company's growth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise internally on data protection matters under frameworks such as the GDPR, and give risk-based privacy advice on new products, initiatives and operational changes
• Draft and negotiate DPAs and intra-group data transfer agreements, carry out privacy due diligence for third-party providers and handle privacy due diligence in M&A contexts
• Support data mapping, documentation of data processing activities and data protection impact assessments
• Develop, implement and maintain global privacy policies, notices and internal procedures
• Support communications to the management board, supervisory board and business leadership, and run privacy maturity audits
• Manage investigations or proceedings with data protection authorities and develop mitigation plans
• Monitor AI governance developments and help improve AI governance frameworks

Required profile

• 0-1 years of experience in data protection/privacy or related areas, with GDPR knowledge
• Law degree or equivalent, at least a bachelor's level
• Certified expertise in EU privacy laws (IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, TÜV DPO etc.) is a plus
• Experience advising online technology companies and data-driven businesses across jurisdictions is a plus
• Excellent English; Polish, Spanish or German is a plus
• Proactive, collaborative, able to influence across cultures and functions
