Junior QA Engineer – Build Quality from the Ground Up

About the role

We are looking for a curious and motivated Junior QA Engineer to join our fast‑growing tech startup in Barcelona. You will work side‑by‑side with a young Product & Tech team, helping to define and implement the company’s quality assurance strategy from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Design and help implement the company’s QA strategy and testing framework.
• Build, document, and continuously improve testing processes.
• Execute functional, regression, exploratory, and user‑acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Front‑End, Back‑End, and Operations teams to validate new features before release.
• Promote a quality‑first mindset across the organization and suggest improvements for product reliability.
• Participate in discussions about future test‑automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical education.
• Recent graduate or first professional experience in QA, software testing, or product quality.
• Fluent in English or Spanish (French a plus).
• Naturally curious, detail‑oriented, and pragmatic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Required skills

• Functional, regression, exploratory, and user‑acceptance testing.
• Test automation concepts and basic scripting.
• Bug tracking and documentation.
