Kitchen and Facility Assistant – Barcelona

About the role

Your overarching goal as Kitchen and Facility Assistant is to ensure the Education Centre’s cleanliness and handle the children’s meals, always applying appropriate care and food‑hygiene practices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food service areas and receive, store, and safely handle third‑party vendor supplies.
• Serve meals according to company standards, ensuring proper hygiene, presentation, and timely service.
• Prepare, set‑up, serve, clear, clean and store all food, beverage and equipment required.
• Restock stocks and consumables as needed.
• Perform cleaning duties across the Education Centre, including kitchen, dining space, toilets, classrooms and communal areas.
• Serve families and children following Boundless Life’s hospitality service requirements.
• Manage waste and recycling, disposing of rubbish in the correct locations.
• Assist the Education Centre Director or General Manager with menu planning, seasonal product use and compliance with dietary requirements.
• Liaise daily with the catering partner to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to dietary specifications.
• Place orders in accordance with the company purchasing policy.
• Ensure the kitchen operates in line with current health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean state of all areas at the end of each shift and attend required meetings and training.
• Occasionally work evenings or weekends for functions and events, and provide ad‑hoc support to the housekeeping team during peak times.
