Kitchen Assistant – Occidental Pueblo Acantilado

About the role

The Kitchen Assistant will support the culinary team at Occidental Pueblo Acantilado, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This position is based in Alicante and is part of the Barceló Hotel Group’s hospitality portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain hygiene and order throughout the kitchen.
• Clean, peel, and cut vegetables.
• Mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Prepare poultry by plucking and trimming.
• Chop meat and scale fish.
• Keep kitchen tools and equipment clean.
• Assist in the preservation of raw materials and kitchen products.

Required profile

• Medium‑level culinary training (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio de Cocina y Gastronomía) and a HACCP (APPCC) course.
• At least one year of experience in a similar kitchen role.
• No language requirement.
• Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility and quick execution.

Required skills

• Food safety knowledge (APPCC).
