KYC Analyst

About the role

The KYC Analyst will conduct due‑diligence reviews of Gunvor’s counterparties, both at onboarding and during periodic assessments. You will verify legitimacy, assess ownership structures, screen for adverse media and evaluate a range of compliance risks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk‑based KYC due diligence on new and existing business counterparties.
• Screen and research counterparties and related individuals for AML, ABC, sanctions, sustainability, human‑rights and reputational risks.
• Review, analyse and summarise KYC documentation and create risk assessments.
• Document findings clearly and identify cases that require escalation to the senior Anti‑Bribery and Corruption team.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to communicate requirements and findings.
• Monitor ongoing screenings and update counterparty data throughout the commercial lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with Gunvor’s policies, ABC/AML and sanctions frameworks.

Required profile

• University degree in law, economics, criminal justice or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of KYC due‑diligence or related compliance experience, preferably in commodity trading or energy.
• Knowledge of ABC/AML, sanctions risk and high‑risk counterparty assessment.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and judgment skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
