Lab Test Means Integration Engineer

About the role

A vacancy has arisen for a Lab Test Means Integration Engineer within Airbus Defence & Space, based at the Getafe site in Spain. The role joins a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, build and integration of laboratory test means used across defence and space programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Electrical and electronic design of test benches from system architecture.
• Interface with external partners and suppliers during design reviews, test reports and project meetings.
• Problem‑report solving, change‑request implementation and HW/SW integration for test benches.
• Management and maintenance of test facilities, including on‑site acceptance testing with internal or external customers.
• Contribution to test‑bench validation activities and documentation (KPI generation, status reports, design manuals).

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Telecommunications, Automation or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• Eligibility for security clearance by the relevant authorities.
• Fluent written and spoken English (B2 level or higher).
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and teamwork attitude.
• Interest in complex systems and continuous learning in test and systems engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electrical/electronic design tools such as AutoCAD and Altium Designer.
• Experience in HW/SW integration for test benches.
• Knowledge of avionic systems, mission systems, data links or sensors.
• Familiarity with Airbus processes and tools (e.g., SAP, DMS).
• Experience in software testing is a plus.
