Laboratory Technician – Molecular Biology (Valencia)

About the role

Join Vitrolife Group’s laboratory team in Valencia and contribute to cutting‑edge fertility research. As a Laboratory Technician you will perform molecular biology and genetics procedures, operate advanced laboratory equipment, and ensure reliable results in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform standard laboratory techniques such as pipetting, buffer preparation, and laboratory math.
• Execute molecular biology protocols including manual and automated RNA/DNA extraction, nucleic acid quantification, and PCR.
• Maintain daily setup, calibration, and upkeep of laboratory instruments and consumables.
• Interpret and report assay results, demonstrating proficiency with specific instrument platforms and controls.
• Follow regulatory, quality assurance, quality control, and safety procedures to keep the lab audit‑ready.
• Work safely in a bio‑hazard environment and collaborate with international team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• Hands‑on experience with next‑generation sequencing platforms (Thermo Fisher, Illumina) preferred.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office and strong written and spoken English.
• Previous exposure to automated liquid handling equipment is a plus.
