Lead Scheduler - Data Centre Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced Lead Scheduler to join its team in Barcelona, leading the on-site scheduling team for complex, large-scale data centre construction projects. The role reviews schedules, identifies risks and delays, maintains the master plan and supports the client and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the on-site scheduling team, reviewing internal and contractor schedules and reporting time impacts, scope changes and delays so risks are identified early
• Maintain and monitor the master plan schedule and ensure tasks meet project requirements
• Lead the development of tender and contractual requirements, including KPIs on schedule accuracy, milestone achievement and timely programme submission for core contracts
• Develop and manage the integrated work breakdown structure and integrate contract packages into the master plan
• Review contractor schedules and recommend to the client, and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
• Monitor key milestones against the baseline programme, verify project data and develop mitigation plans
• Assess contractor extension of time claims, prepare defence reports and put forward recommendations
• Analyse the critical path and constraints, and prepare site logistics and micro-management schedules for critical work

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with a focus on complex construction projects and preferably data centre experience
• Experience coordinating schedule performance data into a master schedule platform and delivering project status reports for large projects
• Strong managerial and stakeholder management experience
• Fluent English and Spanish

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and EVM
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
