Legal & Compliance Officer

About the role

Sika Spain is looking for a Legal & Compliance Officer based in the Alcobendas office (Madrid). The role supports and strengthens the legal and compliance framework, aligns it with corporate policies and applicable regulations, and promotes a culture of compliance and transparency. It provides legal support, supervises and coordinates key legal and compliance matters, and implements compliance policies that help prevent legal, financial and reputational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support to the business, focusing on commercial law and advising on matters related to customers and suppliers.
• Monitor and supervise regulatory requirements on sustainability, environmental matters and Quality Management Systems, including CSDDD, CBAM and PPWR.
• Support and coordinate GDPR compliance and insurance management.
• Coordinate with external legal advisors for efficient and consistent legal support.
• Lead and support compliance activities, including implementing Group policies such as the Crisis Management Manual, Whistleblowing Channel and Legal Risk Matrix.
• Drive the standardisation of legal review processes (contracts, claims and training) to improve efficiency, consistency and traceability.

Required profile

• Law degree; double degree in Law and Business Administration required.
• Master's degree or programme in Corporate Compliance highly valued.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in business and contractual matters at multinational companies, with expertise in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing contracts and in identifying and mitigating risks.
• Practical knowledge of corporate law and strong knowledge of compliance and AMLFT rules and legislation (local and international).
• Ability to work autonomously and impartially, with excellent communication, negotiation and conflict management skills.
• Willingness to travel when required in Europe; advanced English required, French desirable.
