Legal Counsel / Abogado (m/f/d) – Renewable Energy

About the role

VORN Bioenergy is expanding its Spanish team and seeks a Legal Counsel / Abogado to support the development of biomethane projects across Europe. You will act as the primary legal partner for the Spanish office and contribute to the company’s international legal function.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and negotiate the legal framework for renewable energy projects.
• Provide pragmatic, solution‑driven legal advice to enable business growth.
• Support permitting and regulatory workstreams.
• Manage relationships with external law firms.
• Lead negotiations with private counterparties, lenders and public authorities.
• Serve as the go‑to legal advisor for the Spanish team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• Several years of experience in an in‑house legal department, a leading law firm, or a combination of both.
• Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing business contracts, especially in procurement, construction, services or project finance.
• Native‑level Spanish and excellent written and spoken English.
• Solution‑oriented, commercially minded and able to navigate complex, fast‑growing environments.
