Legal Counsel – EMEA Region

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support RES Services across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will provide legal advice on a wide range of contracts, ensure compliance with local regulations, and help mitigate risks for our renewable-energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied workload across multiple business units, including operations & maintenance, spare parts, asset management, framework agreements, guarantees, bonds and governance documents.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, providing clear guidance to operational and technical teams.
• Collaborate with the Services legal team and relevant business units, and liaise with external legal advisors to ensure quality, consistency and value for money.
• Support legal compliance across EMEA jurisdictions and identify, assess and mitigate legal risks.
• Oversee contract governance and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
• Provide training to internal teams on legal processes and best practices.
• Work with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Technical, Business Development, Procurement, Operations, HR) to align legal support with business objectives.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice in Spain.
• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in commercial or corporate law within renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in commercial contracts and regulatory matters.
• Bilingual Spanish‑English with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deliver practical, business‑focused solutions.
• Proactive, collaborative and analytical mindset.
