Legal Counsel – Iberia (Spain & Portugal)

About the role

Join Danaher Diagnostics as a Legal Counsel for the Iberia region, supporting the company’s portfolio of diagnostic businesses across Spain and Portugal. Based in Barcelona, you will act as the primary legal partner for multiple operating companies, providing advice on commercial, regulatory, and litigation matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and update a wide range of commercial agreements, including equipment sales, rentals, services, distribution and cooperation contracts.
• Provide regulatory and compliance guidance, tracking EU legislative developments such as cybersecurity (NIS 2), sustainability, and the AI Act, and ensuring local implementation in Spain and Portugal.
• Manage disputes and litigation in collaboration with OpCo General Counsels and the Danaher Chief Litigation Officer, coordinating external counsel and monitoring expenses.
• Design and deliver legal training and education materials for business units.
• Support the Compliance Program through policy management, training, monitoring activities and investigations.

Required profile

• Qualified to practice law in Spain.
• Proven experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Strong background in regulatory law, especially EU‑wide directives affecting the diagnostics sector.
• Experience handling litigation and dispute management.
• Ability to work on‑site in Barcelona and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
