Legal Counsel – International Commercial Contracts

About the role

We are looking for a focused and diligent Legal Counsel to join the Ria and Xe Legal team. Working closely with the Legal Director and Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide high‑quality legal support to our global business, handling a variety of commercial contracts and cross‑border regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate international commercial agreements in English, primarily under common‑law frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal business teams to ensure legal documentation reflects intended relationships.
• Analyze, interpret, and apply regulatory frameworks across the jurisdictions where the company operates.
• Identify potential legal risks proactively and propose business‑oriented solutions.
• Assist in finalising legal documents for execution and manage contract processes.
• Provide legal support to multiple internal departments, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Support senior legal team members on strategic, regulatory, and cross‑border matters as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in a relevant jurisdiction.
• 6–7 years of legal experience, including at least 4 years in a reputable law firm.
• Near‑native or professional fluency in spoken and written English; Spanish is also required.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in English.
• Strong background in commercial contracts, preferably international and cross‑border.
• Solid understanding of common‑law style agreements and legal drafting.
