Legal Counsel – Italian‑speaking (Málaga)

About the role

Avarda Group is seeking a Legal Counsel fluent in Italian to join its Málaga office. The role will manage all legal disputes originating in Italy, ranging from customer complaints to regulatory matters, while ensuring full compliance with Italian and EU regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the group’s dispute resolution strategy, policies and procedures.
• Ensure dispute handling frameworks, contractual standards and customer‑facing practices comply with applicable laws and internal risk policies.
• Assess legal, regulatory and financial risks linked to disputes and advise management.
• Manage and represent the company in court, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution processes, or coordinate external counsel.
• Provide legal support for customer dispute matters, including early‑resolution strategies and direct communication with customers.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, governing documents and data‑protection policies.
• Advise on GDPR compliance, data‑processing activities and handle personal‑data incidents.
• Coordinate legal contacts with supervisory authorities and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the group.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with several years of experience in dispute resolution, litigation and regulatory matters.
• Fluent in Italian and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.
