Legal Counsel – Markets (Derivatives)

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its Markets Legal team in Boadilla del Monte. You will support the bank in executing sophisticated transactions safely and efficiently, while developing deep expertise in market products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on derivative transactions (structured and non‑structured) across a wide range of underlying assets.
• Draft and review documentation for repos, securities lending, structured loans, deposits and risk‑transfer transactions.
• Advise on new regulatory developments affecting Markets and support corporate projects.
• Contribute legal expertise to Treasury and Markets matters as required.
• Participate in Capital Markets transactions, including issuance of structured notes and repackaging across multiple jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with interest in banking and market products.
