Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy Projects (Italy)

About the role

ABEI ENERGY is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its renewable energy portfolio in Italy. Reporting to the Legal Director and collaborating with the project development team, you will handle all legal aspects of wind farm, solar park and battery storage projects, ensuring compliance and smooth execution.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate project contracts such as Heads of Terms, Sharing Agreements, LOIs and Exclusivity Agreements.
• Set up and govern special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and manage administrative tasks for grid connection, including compliance with Terna policies.
• Assist in permitting processes, manage PEC communications and contribute to “conferenze dei servizi”.
• Conduct regulatory analysis at regional and national levels to support project origination.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in law firms or in‑house legal departments, focusing on real‑estate and civil law.
• Strong knowledge of Italian real‑estate and land‑registry law, including “visure catastali”, “ispezioni ipotecarie”, and the “Registro Immobiliare”.
• University degree in Law obtained in Italy.
• Native‑level Italian (C2) and professional English proficiency.
