Legal Practice Assistant

About the role

Sterlington PLLC is seeking a proactive Legal Practice Assistant to provide high‑level support to its partners and attorneys. Working remotely, you will become an integral part of the firm’s Legal Operations function, helping to streamline client matters and administrative processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex, multi‑time‑zone calendars, schedule meetings, and resolve conflicts.
• Tri­age inboxes, draft initial responses, and follow up on pending items.
• Prepare and track engagement letters, client correspondence, and CRM entries.
• Format, version, compare, and finalize legal documents to firm standards.
• Assist with travel arrangements, including itinerary changes and expense reconciliation.
• Prompt time capture, flag billable items, and coordinate with Finance for processing.
• Utilize AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and propose process enhancements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience supporting partners, senior fee earners, or C‑suite executives, preferably in law or professional services.
• Fluent written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI‑assisted productivity tools.
• Strong knowledge of legal document formatting and version control.
• Understanding of billing concepts and CRM systems.
