Legal & Regulatory Affairs Officer – Spain

About the role

We are looking for a Legal & Regulatory Affairs Officer to join our Barcelona office. Reporting to the Chief Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Director, you will act as the primary legal and compliance representative for Spain, supporting the Group’s operations across commercial, corporate and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on commercial, corporate and operational issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, supplier contracts and partnership agreements.
• Support internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory queries and assist with corporate governance for Spanish entities.
• Coordinate external counsel when required.
• Serve as the main point of contact for Spanish regulatory bodies, including the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ).
• Monitor legislative changes, prepare regulatory filings and support audits or inspections.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Product, Marketing, Operations and Commercial teams to ensure initiatives are compliant.
• Contribute to the improvement of legal and compliance processes across the Group.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a Law Degree and admission to a Spanish Bar Association.
• 5+ years post‑qualification experience in private practice or in‑house legal roles.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish commercial, corporate and regulatory law.
• Experience interacting with the DGOJ and understanding of the Spanish online gambling regulatory framework.
• Background in iGaming, betting, fintech, payments or another regulated industry is a plus.
