Level 2 Computer Technician (MSP Environment)

About the role

Bulldog Computer Services Ltd., a member of the Navarro Group of Companies and a Managed Services Provider (MSP) in Trinidad and Tobago, is hiring a full-time, on-site Level 2 Computer Technician in Port of Spain. The role handles escalated technical support, performs advanced diagnostics and resolves hardware and software issues for business clients, working alongside Level 1 technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair computers and related equipment, manage operating systems and application issues, and support networking and security solutions.
• Analyze hardware problems, install and configure software, update system software, and set up networks, cabling and wireless networks.
• Configure email accounts (POP3, IMAP, Outlook, MS Exchange), install anti-virus software, maintain backup files and set up equipment for web conferences.
• Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft SharePoint, Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, Exchange offline archiving, server certificates, Windows Server VPNs, port forwarding/NAT policies and Windows Autopilot.
• Lead projects such as PBX, CCTV, network, access point, alarm and email domain migration installations, and secure onboarding and offboarding of systems.
• Document all work, update tickets in the service management system and respond to client requests.

Required profile

• 5 O level passes and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar L2 technician or system administration role.
• Proven experience in an MSP or multi-tenant IT environment.
• Experience spearheading site surveys for PBX, CCTV, alarm and network infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and own a working vehicle.

Required skills

• CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications (additional certifications beneficial).
• Deep familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Experience configuring VPNs, firewall rules and endpoint security.
• Strong customer service, communication and documentation skills.
