Maintenance Engineer – Industrial Assets

About the role

An opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Illescas (Toledo). The selected candidate will join the Industrial Maintenance Team, an integral part of our central industrial infrastructure department. The team is dedicated to guaranteeing maximum availability, safety, and operational excellence across all manufacturing assets supporting critical aerospace programs. In this role you will help optimise asset performance, implement European compliance standards (EN 15628:2014-10) and drive continuous improvement and sustainability in our industrial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure industrial KPIs (Technical Availability, MTBF, MTTR) while maintaining daily contact with internal customers.
• Create and optimise maintenance plans and manage spare‑parts inventory efficiency.
• Manage and optimise maintenance budgets, monitor external service suppliers and performance KPIs.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects related to maintenance, continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Participate in new asset acquisitions, including technical specifications and offer evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with European norm EN 15628:2014‑10 for maintenance personnel qualification.

Required profile

• Education: Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience: Industrial asset maintenance, vendor control and asset lifecycle management in complex manufacturing environments.
• Languages: Advanced level in English.

Required skills

• PLC programming knowledge.
• CNC programming knowledge.
• Practical experience in industrial asset safety.
