Maintenance Program Systems Engineer

About the role

An opportunity for a Maintenance Program Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The Maintenance Programs Department ensures Airworthiness Authority approval of Scheduled Maintenance Requirements for aircraft such as the A400M, A330 MRTT and C‑295, using the MRB process and MSG‑3 methodology. The role involves direct interaction with operators and authorities as part of Maintenance Working Groups.

Key responsibilities

• Perform systems MSG‑3 analyses to identify scheduled maintenance requirements for A400M, A330 MRTT/FSTA, C‑295 and other aircraft.
• Present MSG‑3 analyses to operators and authorities (EASA, INTA/CQC).
• Provide technical support to customers regarding scheduled maintenance, especially for ASAC services.
• Collaborate with departmental disciplines (Systems, Structure, Zonal, MPD) as needed.
• Analyse design changes, service bulletins and other in‑service documentation for impact on MSG‑3, MRBR and MPD.
• Analyse in‑service customer maintenance inspection reports for interval evolution and escalation exercises.
• Develop solutions and customise operators’ maintenance programmes, contributing to customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance and aircraft systems (A400M, A330 MRTT, C‑295).
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a highly demanding environment and coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
