Managing Editor – Madrid

About the role

Fever is seeking an experienced Managing Editor to lead editorial creation for its Secret Media Network as it expands into new markets. Reporting to the VP of Media, you will oversee a growing team of editors, writers, video producers and social creatives, shaping the content strategy for the French and Belgian markets while based in Madrid.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day editorial work, set clear workflows and provide individual feedback to team members.
• Define and communicate a creative vision for the entire Secret Media Network.
• Collaborate with editors, writers, video and social teams to maintain high editorial standards and brand tone.
• Analyze regional data against internal KPIs and use insights to guide strategy.
• Identify and negotiate editorial partnership opportunities to broaden audience reach.
• Coordinate, assign and prioritize editorial tasks across the team and with other Fever departments.

Required profile

• Fluent in English with native‑level French proficiency.
• At least 5 years experience in a newsroom, content agency or digital media property.
• Minimum 2 years of team‑management experience.
• Strong passion for local journalism, social media and digital marketing.
• Data‑driven, business‑savvy mindset with excellent writing and presentation skills.
