Manufacturing Technologies Engineer – Next Generation Aircraft

About the role

Join Airbus Operations' Manufacturing Technologies and Co‑design team to drive the development of next‑generation aircraft manufacturing. You will work on cutting‑edge R&T projects, support ongoing production in Illescas, and contribute to global process standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead R&T projects such as Wing of Tomorrow, HTP multispar, fuselage components and hydrogen tanks.
• Maintain and disseminate Airbus Process Instructions (AIPIs) for worldwide use.
• Oversee Manufacturing Technology Teams (MFTs) focused on repairability, prepreg, and auxiliary materials.
• Drive A350 cargo door industrialisation and support composite system set‑up.
• Collaborate with engineering to co‑design processes for composite materials.
• Analyse manufacturing results through destructive and non‑destructive inspections.
• Apply project‑management tools (planning, risk analysis, PFMEA, PDCA) to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of composite materials for aeronautical components.
• Hands‑on experience in composite manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to co‑design manufacturing solutions with engineering and materials teams.
• Solid background in project management, including planning, control and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with health and safety practices in an industrial environment.
