Mechanical CAD Design Engineer – High‑Precision Sensors & Robotics

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer to join a project developing high‑precision sensors and robotic systems aimed at reaching TRL9 in demanding environments. The role focuses on designing parts, sub‑assemblies, housings and mechanical interfaces while integrating electronics and sensors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assemblies and technical documentation.
• Design compact, robust and manufacturable solutions for parts, housings, supports and mechanical interfaces.
• Integrate sensors, electronic boards, connectors, wiring and fastening elements.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs meet shock, vibration and temperature requirements.
• Define tolerances, select materials and specify manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate technical aspects with manufacturing teams and suppliers.
• Support prototype build, assembly, inspection, testing and incident analysis.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design or related field.
• Professional experience in CAD design of precision mechanical systems.
• Strong command of 3D CAD tools and ability to produce technical drawings.
• Knowledge of tolerances, mechanical manufacturing, machining and surface treatments.
• Experience in assembly design and design for manufacturing.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and interest in advanced prototyping.
