Mechanical Equipment Production Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Equipment Production Manager to lead the mechanical scope of a desalination plant construction project in North Africa. The role includes an expatriate assignment package and requires immediate availability for international deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and implement the Construction Management Plan.
• Coordinate with the Technical Office on mechanical engineering development.
• Support the Procurement Manager in defining technical specifications for electromechanical equipment.
• Prepare monthly progress valuations for the mechanical scope.
• Supervise manufacturing and on‑site installation of electromechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Manage human, technical, and financial resources, including subcontractors.
• Review and validate cost control, certifications, inspections, and test reports.
• Develop and enforce Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and the Health & Safety Plan.
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience as a Production Manager in mechanical or electromechanical installation, preferably in industrial or desalination projects.
• Experience with upgrade, optimization, or expansion phases of large‑scale facilities is a plus.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2).
• Immediate availability for international assignments.
