Mid Software Engineer – Full Stack (React, Node.js, AWS)

About the role

Energiot is looking for a proactive, highly autonomous Mid Software Engineer to join its product and R&D team in Barcelona. You will develop and maintain the cloud‑based SaaS platform that powers an IoT ecosystem for electrical grid monitoring and smart energy applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack features, focusing on frontend development with React and TypeScript.
• Build and sustain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and Python.
• Design, deploy, and operate scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Apply secure coding and cybersecurity best practices to protect sensitive grid data.
• Integrate and extend the ThingsBoard IoT platform, including dashboards, rule chains, and device management.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, improving platform reliability and observability.
• Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, and product teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Proactive, autonomous mindset with strong ownership of technical decisions.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
