Mobile Developer (Android)

About the role

We are looking for an Android engineer to shape the native experience of BJAK's AI‑powered Neobank app. You will work on clean, high‑performance mobile flows that enable insurance, payments, claims, renewals and broader financial services for millions of users across Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship Android features using Kotlin.
• Create intuitive mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and other financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys.
• Integrate backend REST APIs and ensure stability, security and reliability of mobile interactions.
• Continuously improve app performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage.
• Leverage analytics, user behaviour data and production issues to iterate on the product.
• Implement AI‑assisted mobile experiences only when they add genuine value.

Required profile

• 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Strong fundamentals in Android and a track record of shipping production apps.
• Deep knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow and modern Android architecture.
• Excellent sense of mobile UX, usability, edge cases and user flows.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
• High ownership, fast execution and a focus on product quality.
• Portfolio items such as app links, GitHub repositories, screenshots or other examples are a strong advantage.
